No one is ever as mean to me as I am. I have a feeling that so many women face this same internal “takedown” so I’d like to talk about the series of events that brought me to a much-needed epiphany.

Ah, friendships. When I hear someone refer to hundreds (or even thousands) of people on social media as “friends,” I kind of shiver. Can you learn how to be a good friend when the method of determining what that is seems to have gotten ridiculously ambiguous over the last ten years?

No matter how social we are, we’re losing vital social skills I’m beginning to worry will never return. Friendships have now become disposable for little or no reason. Hyper-sensitivity to every true or perceived offense is making it far too easy to walk away from histories (sometimes spanning years) built in the real or (increasingly more common) virtual world.

Let’s Talk about Virtual Trust – Daily Superfood Love

A lot of words seem to have lost their potency in our modern world. Love, loyalty, and respect have all fallen by the wayside in our pursuit of instant gratification and likes on Facebook.

When we think about trust, most people immediately think about romantic relationships. Usually a toxic one where one of the parties is unfaithful. That’s a horrific situation to be in but it’s not what I want to talk about today.

The Dangers of Busy Life Syndrome – A New Epidemic

I know a lot of frazzled people and since I am one, it stands out pretty clearly that it’s a growing trend. So many of us are “too busy” to sleep, eat properly, exercise, spend time with family or friends, or even take a few minutes to breathe in silence each day.

Scientists are now referring to this as busy life syndrome.

The current mentality is to keep going until you drop. And you are (dropping, that is).
